Stenosing tenosynovitis or trigger finger

Stenosing tenosynovitis or trigger finger

Stenosing tenosynovitis or trigger finger stands as the tendon and sheath disease. The tendons are similar to ropes, connecting the muscles to the forearm with our fingers. These ropes allow us to close our fingers and, also, they remain in their place with the help of a cover system like a tunnel (sheath), which acts like α pulley. Meaning they allow the rope to hold a steady track. These tunnels keep the tendon close to the bone. The sheaths have a smooth surface that allows the tendon to slide smoothly.
